The secret how to make delicious Belgian fries crispy on the outside and soft on the inside is to fry them twice: once at 160°C (320°F) and another time at 190°C (375°F).
A must do when you travel to Belgium is try their Belgian fries: make sure you get those thick fries in stead of those skinny French fries they serve at McDonalds.
French fries is your typical Belgian street food, so that’s where you need to look for trying them out: a small place filled with people next to a bus stop, a church or a street corner.
